Fabian JARDON was born on 16 November 1973 in Verviers, Belgium. After studies at the Conservatory of his native town with Guido Jardon, he distinguished himself in various national competitions: first Prize at the Crédit Communal Competition, the Andrée Charlier Foundation Prize, the Gunther Grand Prize.
He is a graduate of the Liège and Brussels Royal Conservatories of Music, and he also graduated with great distinction and virtuosity from the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel where he followed Juliette Longrée-Poumay’s teaching. Furthermore, he has benefited from Dominique Cornil’s advice during 2 years, as well as from Masterclasses given by Serge Colot, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Laurent Cabasso and Evelyne Brancart.
Fabian Jardon received a grant from the Belgian Foundation of the Vocation and was a prizewinner in several competitions:
- the Tenuto Competition, with the special Sabam Prize rewarding his interpretation of Jean Absil’s 1st concerto opus 30, which he performed for television channels VRT and RTBF with the Vlaams Radio Orchestra under Frank Shipway’s direction;
- the International Piano Competition of the Besançon European Musical Institute, with the highest classification and congratulations of the jury;
- the Mathilde Horlait Dapsens Competition where he distinguished himself along with violinist Elisabeth Deletaille.
Fabian Jardon is the Principal of IMEP (Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy) in Namur, after having been a piano teacher and a lecturer in psychopedagogy and piano methodology.
His experience has led him to participate in various missions abroad : at the National Institute of Arts in Kinshasa, at the Central Institute of Music in Bejing, where he was invited to serve as a jury member for the piano entrance exam.
As a member of EPTA-Belgium WB (European Piano Teachers Association Wallonie-Bruxelles) since 2021, Fabian Jardon has recently been elected President, succeeding Diane Andersen, former EPTA Belgium WB founder and president.
